Student Life

Housing & Meals
In Athens, you will live in an apartment with up to seven other BCA and/or CU students. The apartment building also houses Greek residents and is within walking distance to the university campus. Each five-bedroom apartment includes a kitchen with appliances and a bathroom shared by all students.
All apartments have a lounge area with sofas and a TV. All bedrooms contain desks and chairs, wardrobes with hanging sections and shelves, bedside tables, carpets and curtains, bedding packs and bed linens (sheets, pillows, duvet), towels and electrical sockets.
BCA provides students with a monthly meal stipend, which covers three meals a day. Students also enjoy shopping in the local markets and cooking for themselves. Athens offers a large number of cafés as well.
Local Transportation
Downtown Athens is within walking distance from the residence. Public transportation is plentiful and the metro runs throughout the city.
BCA Educational Excursions
One of the benefits of studying abroad with BCA is the excursions offered to the students throughout the semester. These short trips are included in the program fee and are often the highlight of the study abroad experience for students.

In Athens, many BCA students have enjoyed trips to the Acropolis, Meteora, Peloponnesus, Delphi, Sparta and Corinth.
Your education continues with special lectures and tours arranged by BCA Resident Director Aphrodite to embassies, government agencies and more.
Outdoor Activities

A variety of outdoor activities are available across the region, including skiing, rock climbing, hang gliding, and windsurfing. Numerous outdoor clubs serve these sports, including the Athens Chapter of the Sierra Club, which leads more than 4,000 outings annually in the area
